We are a family-run business with over 25 years' experience of providing unrivalled roofing services, and we keep to West London on purpose. Working the same streets means we know the housing stock, which tile and slate patterns are still made, and which boroughs want a licence before a scaffold goes on the pavement.

Local housing stock

Victorian brick, London stock and lime mortar

Most of the housing across this patch is Victorian and Edwardian. That means slate and plain tile roofs, lead valleys and bay roofs, soft London stock brick, and mortar that needs to be softer than the brick rather than harder.

It is the reason we point in lime where the wall calls for it, dress lead rather than seal over it, and dry fix ridge and verge on anything we rebuild. All three are the difference between a job that lasts twenty years and one that comes back in five.

Do you cover my street if it is not on the list?

Probably. The list is the areas we work in most weeks rather than a boundary. Ring and tell us the postcode and we will give you a straight yes or no rather than a maybe.

Is there a call-out charge for the further areas?

Travel is priced into the quote rather than added as a separate charge, and because we work the same patch most jobs are a short journey. If a job is far enough out that travel would change the figure, we will say so before coming.

Can you deal with a conservation area or a listed property?

A lot of the housing across Chiswick, Richmond and Ealing sits in a conservation area, which can affect materials and appearance. We will flag it at the quote stage where it looks likely, and you should confirm the position with the council before work starts.

Who arranges a pavement licence for scaffolding?

The scaffold company applies to the borough for a licence where the scaffold stands on the footway. We factor that into the programme and the quote, so it is not a surprise on the day.

How far outside these areas will you travel?

It depends on the job. A full re-roof justifies a longer journey than a single slipped tile, so tell us where you are and what needs doing and we will give you a straight answer rather than a maybe.
