How long does EPDM last?

Can I walk on it?

Standard EPDM is black. If the roof is overlooked from above and appearance matters, there are lighter single-ply alternatives and we can price one.

Can EPDM be laid in cold weather?

It is more tolerant than felt or fibreglass because nothing has to cure and there is no flame, but the adhesives still have minimum temperatures. In a cold snap we will tell you if it is worth waiting a few days.

What happens where the rubber meets the house wall?

The membrane is taken up the wall as an upstand and finished under a flashing or into a chase, never just stuck onto render. That junction is where flat roofs leak, so it gets the most attention.
